COURSE

New in 2012: We have changed the course. In 2012, the course will be more urban, livelier and thus with more atmosphere! The entire western and south-western part of Berliner Allee and HaslacherStraße, which are very prone to headwind, has been dropped. Right after the start in Madisonallee there will be a left turn into ElsässerStraße, then left again into Hartmannstraße and on all the way to Zähringen.

Further new milestones are the BadenovaStadium and Schwarzwaldstraße. From Wilhelmstraße the course crosses WiwiliBridge into - which is also new - Wentzingerstraße and further along to Colmarer- and Kreuzstraße into Beurbarungstraße. After Emmendingerstraße the marathon returns to the original course: Kaiserstuhlstraße, Emmy-Noetherstraße - finishing at the fair grounds!

Another advantage of the new course: Access to the B31a had to be closed for the FREIBURG MARATHON at four different locations so far, from 2012 onwards, this only has to be done at two locations now instead of four.
