S'COOL RUN - what does that mean?
The S'COOL RUN is a school relay as part of the 9th FREIBURG MARATHON. The S'COOL RUN is being executed in cooperation with the Freiburg Regional Council.How is a team put together?
Pupils' relay: A team consists of 7 pupils of the same grade.Teachers´ relay: A team consists of 7 teachers of the same school.
The relay teams consist of boys or girls but can also be mixed.
What are the required qualifications?
All classes from 5th grade onwards can participate. A school can also register more than one relay per grade. The organiser expects the participants to be in a good training condition and physically fit.How can we register for the S'COOL RUN?
The team registers together at www.marathon-freiburg.com. A contact person (teacher) has to be stated for queries and to pick up the starting documents.When is the closing date?
Closing date is Monday the 12th of March at midnight.How do I pay my starting fee?
The starting fee has to be paid by direct debit. The debiting from your account is considered a proof of your registration at the S'COOL RUN. If you have any questions regarding the debiting, please also contact info@marathon-freiburg.com.How can I inform the organiser about last minute changes of the participant data?
You can inform us about changes of the participant data and categories (female / male / mixed) per email (scoolrun@marathon-freiburg.com) until the 12th of March at 12:00. There is also the possibility to change information for the result list and the certificates on short notice after the event (substitute runner because of sickness, etc.).What happens if a runner cannot participate (due to sickness, etc. shortly before the run)?
You can also change positions and include new runners in the team afterthe 12th of March 2012. Please note that the runners of the student teams have to be in the same grade of the same school. It is also possible that the team runs the relay with less than 7 participants, as long as one runner can run two parts of the track.Where and when do we get our starting documents?
At the registration for the S'COOL RUN choose between "Pick-up" and "Delivery (plus 2.50 Euro postage)".- Delivery per mail is on the 15th of March 2012.

What is included in the starting documents?
The starting documents consist of:- 7 race numbers
- Time measurement
- 7 vouchers for "a plate of pasta at the noodle party on 31st of March/1st of April"
- Baton
- Starter information
- Course map
- Surprise gift for every participant
What do I have to keep in mind about the race number?
Every team takes part with seven race numbers. The race numbers will be marked with the grade and the name of the school; they will be numbered from 1 to 7 and distributed to the runners accordingly. Please pay attention not to mix up starting numbers and time measurement when registering more than one relay.When and where is the start?
The start of the S'COOL RUN is at 12:30 at Madisonallee (Messe Freiburg). The first runner should take his place at the starting area with the baton at least 10 minutes prior to the start.How do the runners get to the handover points?
The team organises the arrival at the handover points independently. You can find detailed directions here. The handover points are located in such a way that they are easily reached by public transport. The travel cost with VAG/RVF network on the day of the event is free against presentation of the race number.How does the handing over work at the handover points?
The line-up of the teams at the handover points takes place in ascending order of the race numbers. The runners hand over the baton at the handover points. No baton - no time no evaluation.How does the evaluation work?
The following grades will be evaluated:Grades 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and senior grades
Boys and girls relays will be evaluated separately. The mixed relays will be evaluated together with the boys relays. The teachers relays will also be evaluated separately.
Is there a suitable meeting point after the run?
We suggest the noodle party in the foyer of the Messe Freiburg as a meeting point. This is also where the awards ceremony for the S'COOL RUN takes place at 15:30.Where and when does the awards ceremony take place?

- The school that loves to run the most: The school with the most participants in relation to the number of pupils

Is it allowed to use means of aid (bikes, scooters, inline skates, etc.)?
No. Every participant has to complete the course by foot and without any means of help.How do I get my results/certificate?
The results and certificates can be downloaded on the Sunday of the marathon starting at 20:00 at www.marathon-freiburg.com. Certificates will not be delivered per mail.In case your question is not listed, you are welcome to send an email to scoolrun@marathon-freiburg.com.
